Lamjung Himalaya trekking is an off beaten trekking trail in Annapurna region. Lamjung Himalaya trek offers an impressive view of the central Himalayas while travelling on the off the beaten trail along the villages and pastures. Lamjung Himalaya trekking begins at Besishar after 5-6 hours drive from Kathmandu. The trail passes through the villages inhabited by various ethnicities, forest with untouched biodiversity and path full of unique photographic opportunities. It takes us through the picturesque villages on the foothills of the Annapurna and Lamjung Himalaya, magnificent rhododendron and oak forests and beautiful terrain to open us to the beautiful mountain views.

Welcome to the paradise on earth, Nepal. Upon our arrival at Kathmandu, we will be received from Tribhuvan International Airport and transferred to the hotel. After the hotel check in, we will have a brief orientation and complete any outstanding formalities required for the trek. After the short briefing, we are free to rest in the comfort of the hotel or stroll around to explore the vibrant surroundings. In the evening we will savor a wonderful welcome dinner while enjoying a cultural program at an authentic Nepali restaurant. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Today we enjoy a guided tour of the ancient cities of Kathmandu Valley. We visit the various places listed in UNESCO world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley. Kathmandu valley flaunts numerous shrines, palaces and temples which have spiritual, cultural and architectural value. The intricately carved arts and designs of these architectures built medieval era reflects the unique Hindu and Buddhist influences. We can explore this cultural city in our own pace. After the tour, we will meet our guide who will brief us regarding the trek and help us with our final preparation for the trek.
After a hearty breakfast, we take a 5 hour long ride to the village of Dumre. We will be met by the rest of the crew members in Dumre, from where we will drive another 1.30 hours to reach Besisahar. We will walk for 15 minutes to the beautiful bank of Marshyandi River, where we will camp for the night.
We start our day with a steep uphill from the middle of the village of Besisahar. The trail then goes around the valley to climb along the scrubs into the forest. We observe the dramatic change in the terrain as we enter into a beautiful plateau at Baglung Pani. We can view a beautiful mountain view from our campsite as we spend a night at Baglung Pani. (5 hrs)
We relish the stunning views of mountains such as Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Lamjung Himala and Annapurna as we walk on the ridge to reach Ghanapokhara. We stay on the campsite in the north of the village. We can spend the afternoon exploring the attractive Gurung Village. We will explore the local culture and lifestyle as we walked along the mud houses of the village. (5 hrs)
We walk along the undulating path through the ridge. The strenuous walking is rewarded heavily with stunning sceneries along the beautiful rhododendron and bamboo forest. The forest is the host to the wide variety of wildlife. We will stop for a lunch near a river in the middle of the forest before we reach Teelbrong Danda, where we will camp for the night. (5 hrs
We have our breakfast as we prepare for a challenging yet rewarding walk today. We follow the trail that will lead us to the top of the Telbrong Danda. We will be able to enjoy spectacular views from here. We pass through the beautiful rhododendron forest and high pastures before reaching the Base Camp of the Namun Pass. We will camp here for tonight. (6 hrs)
We take an early hike above the ridge to enjoy the magnificent view of Himalachuli, Manaslu, Peak 29 and Boudha in the dawn. After enjoying our lunch, we descend through the rhododendron forest and pass several waterfalls. The trail slowly takes an ascent to reach the Rambrong Danda ridge from where we will descend to a pasture land where will camp for the night. (4 hrs)
Today is a rest day. We can take an energetic hike to Rambrong Danda. We can enjoy spectacular views of Lamjung Himal, Annapurna West, Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, Machhapuchhre, Manaslu and Himalachuli from the top of the hill. We can also spend the rest of the day exploring the surrounding nature and villages. (3 hrs)
We descend into the Valley from Rambrong Danda. We will pass beautiful rhododendron, pine and oak forest hosting rare birds and animals. We may encounter rare Impeyan Pheasants and Tragopan along the way. We will continue our ascent until we reach our campsite at Choprong. We can walk further from the campsite to the water spot at Choprong to enjoy the spectacular surroundings. (4 hrs)
We walk through rhododendron and oak forest to reach a large meadow for a lunch. We will walk along the ridge to Karpu hill to take a steep descent down a “mountain goat: trail. We must be extremely cautious while walking in this part of the trail. The trail becomes wider as we pass a knee wobbling descent to Yanjakot.
We descend into the Modi Khola Valley as we walk the northern bank of the river. We will enjoy an early on the bank of the river. The walk in the river bank is very relaxing walk compared to the the rigorous high altitude walk
We cross the Modi Khola to take a steep ascent that winds around the Ridgeline. We reach Lipyani, a busy little Bhanjyang Village, where our vehicle will be waiting for us for a scenic ride back to the Pokhara. The 45 minute ride from Kalikasthan to Pokhara is a scenic drive along the ridge
After the breakfast in the tranquil city of Pokhara, we take the 25 minute flight back to the vibrant Kathmandu city. We get transferred to our comfortable hotels in Kathmandu. This is an ideal day to visit the earlier missed our places in Kathmandu city. Kathmandu Valley has a rich culture which can be explored visiting the temples, palaces and shrines in the valley. These monuments have cultural, historical and architectural value. This is also a good opportunity to go shopping for souvenirs. It is finally time to bid goodbye to the wonderful country. We get transferred to Tribhuvan international airport for our departure to our next destination. We play the pleasant memories of the last two weeks in our mind as we bid farewell to the beautiful country.
