We start this trek from Phedi, North West of Pokhara to scenic Dhampus, through Gurung Villages in to the 360 degree panoramic Fishtail and Annapurna Base Camp. We have two special hotsprings to enjoy in this trek as well as the wildlife, colourful birds, butterflies, Bamboo forests.

Annapurna Base Camp Trekking and Jomsom Muktinath treks are widely favourite Nepal trekking for most of the trekkers in Nepal. Once People visit Nepal then trek twice in the Himalaya for the exciting Himalayan Holidays in Nepal in the life time. So the Nepal Trekkers experience the mountain views and the culture closely around and the culture behind the mountain of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges in this beautifully contrasted land of Annapurna region. We take you into the spectacular Annapurna sanctuary  first through lush terraces, beautiful villages, view points of Ghandruk, Chhomrong and then to stunning centre of Annapurna base through the modi river gorges. We start this trek from Phedi, north west of Pokhara to scenic  Dhampus, through Gurung Villages in to the 360 degree panoramic Fishtail and Annapurna Base Camp. We have two special hotsprings to enjoy in this trek as well as the wildlife, colourful birds, butterflies, Bamboo forests.


The second part of the trek goes through scenic Ghandruk village to the famous top of Poonhill then descend to Hotspring and ascend slowly in to the rainshadow Lower Mustang where you have great time to taste Apple Cider, apricot, apple brandy, experience valley behind the mountains to the Holy Muktinath which lies just below the famous Annapurna Circuit pass.

 

 

Day 01 - Arrival in Kathmandu


Today is your arrival day. We welcome you upon your arrival at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to Hotel in Kathmandu or anywhere in Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur). A city briefing concerning the necessary formalities on your tour and trek program ahead will follow. Depending upon your arrival time you may spend free time visiting nearby historic/Countryside areas or resting.

 

Day 02 - Half Day Cultural Sightseeing in Patan


Half day sightseeing in Patan World Heritage site where your guide will accompany you on a tour of UNESCO enlisted temples and unique fusion shrines of Newari architecture, reflecting a rare blend of Hinduism and Buddhism. There is enough time to explore the city’s many places of interest with your guide or on your own or simply take a rest. Our Trek Leader/Guide will meet you in the afternoon for trek briefing and final trek preparation. In the evening, sample a delicious traditional Nepali Welcome dinner in authentic Nepali Restaurant with the cultural dance performance and music. Private vehicle is there for you to pick up and drop in at your Hotel. Overnight Hotel stay in Kathmandu.

 

Day 03 -   Flight to Pokhara / Start Trekking to Dhampus (1750m)


Our tour officer  pick you up in the Hotel to drive to Domestic airport after breakfast.We take 30 minutes scenic flight to Pokhara, a naturally beautiful city located about 200 km west of Kathmandu where your trek commences and ends with fun and ever memorable time in close to Himalayan Mountains. Our Local trekking guide cum Leader will meet you at the Airport to pick you up for   half an hour drive to the trekking put in point at Phedi. We will be ready to hit the trail after a tea break.The trek starts with the steep uphills to the villages of Gurung, Brahmin, Chhetris looking back the picturesque Pokhara valley. The trail then gradually widen up going through mixed forest, terraces take you to Dhampus where the preview highlights of Mountains are just infront of you. (2:30 hrs).

 

Day 04 -Dhampus to Landruk(1620)


Here onward the trail directly heads toward the Pothana  passing through the short motorable rough trail , Forest overlooking the Mountains in your right side in the north.Here we can see the spectacular sights of Machhapuchhre Mountain along with Annapurna south. Passing through the Gurung village here we walk gradually up and down on the rough trail through rhododendron forests to Deurali where we will see the snow capped Dhaulagiri(8167m) mountain. From here we have a descend down through the mixed forest, widely popular for bird watching and bird song to Bicchuk where we can stop for the lunch. From Bichhuk, the winding terrace trail through the tiny Gurung village Tolka takes us to scenic Village Landruk. Landruk is just opposite ridge of famous Gurung settlement  Ghandruk.(5 hrs)

 

Day 05 - Landruk to Chhomrong(2210m)


Today we descend from Landruk towards the river Modi where we have chances to see a lot of monkey and the wild goat. The trail is a bit rough and walking between the field here we cross the temporary ever named New bridge to start Bamboo forest trail. We keep us lest of the Modi River and climb gradually up to the Jhinudanda where we stop nearly an hour for the Hot spring dip before we have lunch. After the lunch, we have nearly an hour scenic uphills before we head down to the gateway of amzing Annapurna Sanctuary a gorge. (6 hrs)

 

Day 06 - Chhomrong to Dovan (2540 m)


Today we  descend in stone step  down  until Chhomrong Khola, then the trail begins a slow climb  crossing the the iron bridge as we head up to nicely located lodges for Lunch stopover – Sinuwa  passing through small villages to Kuldi Ghar (2470m) about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs walking. The trek now enter through mixed forests of Bamboo,rhododendron in the upper Modi Khola valley encountering Himalayan balck faced Langoor. We can expect snow from here on in the post winter months (Feb-April.) We continue our trek going down to ACAP permitted lodges at Bamboo through an uninhabited forest area, scattered with big rocks,waterfalls besides the river Modi. From Bamboo the road will take us through deep bamboo and rhododendron forests stepping on the slippery roots of Rdododendron trees to Doban.The trail to Dobhan is proper rough, moderate humid forest trail (2540m). (6 hrs).

 

Day 07 -Dovan to Deurali (3170 m)


After climbing various temporary branches of the rivers nearly 400 meters up we will first get at the Himalayan Hotel at 2840 meters. This trail prepares you appropriately for the great mountain views through the Annapurna Mountain Gorges. We then continue on to Hinko Cave (3100m) after paying homage to a Barahi (Goddess of Forest) offering branches of leaves, ringing the bell for the best of Luck then walk onto Deurali crossing numerous old avalanches. During this day if we are lucky we can see interesting wildlife and the difficult pastures. Here we will also have great views of Machhapuchhare mountain ridges (6997m) and you will understand why the English name is fishtail mountain. We stay overnight at Deurali(5 hrs).

 

Day 08 - Deurali to Machhapuchhre Base Camp(3745 m)


The trail now becomes less steep and after crossing further old avalanche debris we reach an open meadow that leads to the gateway of the Annapurna Sanctuary. In less than three hours we reach the lodges at Machhapuchhare Base Camp, arriving in time for lunch. The afternoon is free to enjoy the truly spectacular scenery of the surrounding peaks. To fully appreciate this magical location and aid acclimatization we spend an extra day at this base camp and explore around its surrounding area. (2:30 hrs)

 

 

Day 09 - Machhapuchhre Base Camp to Annapurna Bas Camp (4190m)


Today as soon as we head up for few minutes start viewing the dramatic majestic Machhapuchhare along up the Annapurna Glacier. Machhapuchhre or Fishtail Mountain is Holy Mountain in this area after George Bonnignton’s difficult attempt to scale her. Walking up here is affected by the altitude so slow and steady pace offer great fun walking in this early sunrising mountain gorges upto Annapurna Base Camp via MBC. As long as you get near Fishtail Base Camp you find it awe-inspiring finding the giant Annapurna Mountains soaring and surrounding ahead up. This is the Annapurna Sanctuary since explored by Col. Jimmy Roberts in 1960 where you will be enjoying the Annapurna Ranges of Mountains in 360 angle.Annapurna I, II, III, IV and Annapurna fang and south along numerous peaks feels you around the Mountain Paradise (2:00 hrs)

 

 

Day 10 - Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2620m)


Today After adding the ecstatic sunrise views of the Mountains in the Base Camp we follow our way back to Bamboo besides the bank of Modi River. It’s easier as we descend the most part of our route enjoying the changing shape and sizes of the Mountains. We need to descend keeping eyes on the occasional loose rough trails.  (6 hrs).

 

Day 11 -Bamboo to Chhomrong (2210m)


From Bamboo we continue to Sinuwa resting in the different sunny tranquil viewpoint. From Sinuwa the trail descends through forests to Chhomrong Khola and then the trail ascends in the numerous stone steps to Chhomrong.

 

Day 12 - Chhomrong to Ghandruk (1945m)


It’s an excellent village walk through the  famous supply  route to Kimrong villages down to Kimrong Khola(river).We cross the suspension bridge here and head uphills of Kimrong Jungle in rough trail to the top where we find ourselves high up enough to view the Mountain views we left behind.From here we head towards the famous Gurung village Ghandruk through paved stone steps to this village of braves.The original houses here are thatched roof, where you will find the old retired people weaving handloom carpets and drying the grains.Fishtail and the Annapurna south along with Hiunchuli are best viewed from here.(5 hrs)

 

Day 13 - Ghandruk to Tadapani (2520m)


The trail today is shady but humid forest walking to before we are walking in the deep gorges.The trail today is mixed forest and gorges gradual walking up to the Tadapani.It’s a short day walking today to have great picturesque day in Tadapani where you find the Fishtail and the Annapurna south very close to your lodge.(3:30 hrs)

 

Day 14 - Tadapani to Ghorepani(2850m)


We start the descend and ascend through another tranquil rhododendron mixed forest through the gorges to Banthanti. Here a few hundreds above we start walking in the ridges of beautiful rhododendron forest again. The ridge walking to Deurali is quite picturesque with the Annapurana and Dhaulagiri ranges panoram.The stone steps downhills in this rhododendron  covered forest takes us to another breathtaking famous viewpoint Ghorepani.(6 hrs)

 

 

Day 15 -  Ghorepani to Tatopani (1170 m)


A very early start – about 05:30 hrs - to climb to Poon Hill (3210m) for a spectacular sunrise with unobstructed views over the high Himalayas. You will see a panorama of mountain peaks from this viewpoint. After sunrise, return to our guesthouse and enjoy breakfast. Ghorepani means "horse water" and it is no doubt a welcome watering stop for the teams of horses, mules and ponies that carry loads between Pokhara and Jomsom. From Ghorepani the downhill trail follows the Jomsom route. Across the rhododendron forest, we pass some small villages and walk along side the Ghaja Khola. In Tatopani (which means hot water in Nepali) there are natural hot water springs for your refreshment, be sure to bring a bathing costume. Overnight in Tatopani (6 hrs)

 

Day 16 - Tatopani to Ghasa (2145m)


The trek now starts up the Kali Gandaki valley, which is said to be the deepest gorge in the world Here we will enjoy a beautiful day’s walking along the Kali Gandaki riverside, gradually ascending into sub-tropical vegetation. We will cross the Bhalu Khola on a high suspension bridges before arriving at Dana (1450m) Around 30 minutes from Dana we will see a very high waterfall: Rupse Chhahara (which translates as “beautiful waterfall”). From there we will continue through the steepest and narrowest part of the Kali Gandaki valley, where much of the route is cut through solid rock. We will cross the river again on a 120m long bridge to the east side. We will continue on to Ghasa, an ethnic Thakali village and this marks the southern most limit of Tibetian Buddhism in the valley. We will stay overnight in one of the guesthouses here (6-hrs).

 

Day 17 - Ghasa to Marpha(2780 m)


The trail follows the Kali Gandaki River, passing through a narrow gorge before reaching Thakali traditional villages. Today we will cross the gorge and river numerous times via long suspension bridges, which make great photo opportunities. We will pass a couple of villages (eg. Lete, Kalopani and Kokhethati). On the way we can see the top of Dhaulagiri Mountain peeking over the west side. We will end our day in the village of Larjung . An easy and lovely day’s walking where we will first see the village of Khobang, which has narrow alleyways and tunnels connecting houses. We can make short side trip to the Kanti gompa (a Buddhist temple). Then our route continues to Tukuche village (2580m), one of the most important Thakali villages. We can see a wine-brandy distillery here and walk through the orange orchard street. We will continue our trek for another 2 hours before reaching our day’s final destination at Marpha. Here we will visit some of the Buddhist gompa’s, some of them are very attractive. The gompa’s are painted with a whitewash produced from a special local stone (6 hrs).

 

 

Day 18 -Marpha to Kagbeni (2840m)


We wake up early today, because although the road is not difficult it can become harder because of strong winds in this particular area in the afternoon. Our trail leads us to the village of Shyang at 2800 m before crossing the Shyang Khola to Jomsom (2760m). Jomsom is the administrative headquarter for the region. From Jomsom we follow the trail along the river to Eklai Bhatti and from there on to the medieval looking town of Kagbeni (2840m). This town has closely packed mud houses, dark tunnels and alleys and a large ochre-coloured gompa perched above the town. From here we will follow a flagstone trail and passes two tunnels. We will stay in one of the guesthouses here (4 hrs).

 

Day 19 -Kagbeni to Muktinath (3880m)


Today we will do the 900 meter ascend to Muktinath which is an important pilgrimage place for Hindus and Buddhists. We will first walk through Khingar (3400m) and then onto Jharkot (3500m), which is an impressive fortress like village. We will continue our way to the first part of Muktinath which is known as Ranipauwa, where we will stay the night. There will be time to explore the area and see some of the holy Hindu places like an eternal flame coming from natural gas next to a spring which is considered holy as well (4 hrs).

 

Day 20 - Excursion and Rest ay in Muktinath


Today we have optional day to rest in this ever sunny land of Salvation.(Holy Muktinath).Normally we arrange excursion trip to Thorung pass base in the height of 4500m further north east up the Muktinath Temple. This trail is gradual walking up in the rough trail with a bit altitude affect. The excursion is worth for taking pictures, experiencing the hardship of crossing pass from the opposite route of Annapurna circuit, best known for the wide views of the upper Mustang and the Lower Mustang Valley. Optionally we are also flexible to arrange site tour to Jharkot, the oldest walled capital of Mustang and the Tibet-Mustang ethnic tribe and culture.

 

 

Day 21 -  Muktinath to Jomsom(2825m)


This is an easy day walking back to Jomsom following a different route, but can be tedious if we are unlucky to get the strong winds. From Muktinath to Jomsom, you will see the people of Mustang, a restricted area to the north, who come to sell handicrafts to pilgrims. Among their merchandise is the highly-revered mollusk fossil called shaligram. We will pass some ancient caves and see the impressive White Mountain that is the Dhaulagiri. We also transit at the significant town of Kagbeni, which is at a junction of 2 rivers and the north-south and east-west trading routes (6 hrs).

 

Day 22 - Jomsom to Pokhara flight


After the breakfast we have rush to nearby Jomsom airport for the early morning flight to Pokhara. The panoramic flight takes nearly 25 minutes to Pokhara. The flight goes through the gorges of Kaligandaki valley offering to snap gorgeous semi barren Land, Mountains and flying just above Poonhill and further to Pokhara full of red forest views in the spring season. Getting in Pokhara, our guide accompany you to Davis falls, boating, Mountain Museum, walking to the top of Phewa Monastery or just chill out in the Lakeside Bars.Overnight Hotel in Lake Side Pokhara.

 

 

Day 23 - Pokhara to Kathmadnu Drive


After Breakfast, we are ready for the scenic drive to Kathmandu.It takes nearly 6 hours to get back to Kathmandu witnessing highway life and travel in Nepal from West.Overnight hotel in Kathmandu.

 

Day 24 - Leisure Time in Kathmandu


Leisure Time in Kathmandu. It’s indeed time for the souvenir hunting around Kathmandu’s noted places having optional trip to tranquil historic Heritages in your own or with us or  with our versatile guide. We provide extra drive and drop services anywhere.

 

Day 25 - Departure Kathmandu


Our Tour officer will meet you in your Hotel for Departure Transfer to Kathmandu’s International Airport. We will always welcome you back to Nepal in future and look forward to serving you as per your interests
