This is short day’s family Everest trekking that provides close views of Everest with enough time in the Sherpa villages. This itinerary is specially designed for the people interested to Know Sherpas Culture closely while enjoying the best views of Amadablam, Everest, Lhotse, Tawoche, Flora, Fauna and of course walking.


This trek is also suitable for the family, Student Groups and even differently able People etc. The route takes you into the Everest region – one of the best trekking in Nepal. You  reach a maximum altitude of 4345 m requiring a moderate physical fitness to trek comfortably. The trek takes us through the lush vegetation of Sagarmatha National Park, with pine forests, rhododendron flowers and an abundance of wildlife. You visit Namche Bazaar in order to acclimatize to higher altitudes. The following days trekking bring us to the village of Tengboche (3860m), home to the highest Buddhist monastery in Nepal (3860m) and, according to photographers, one of the best places to capture the magnificence of Mt. Everest (8848m) and its neighboring peaks. The concluding days of this trek will be spent in the delightful and scenic villages of Khunde (3800m) and Khumjung, where you  have the opportunity to interact with the legendary Sherpa mountaineers and participate in their astonishing traditional lifestyle. Back down to Lukla to take a short flight back to Kathmandu

 

Detail itinerary

Day 01-         Arrival in  Kathmandu

Today is your arrival day. We welcome you upon your arrival at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to Hotel in Kathmandu. After hotel check in, a short briefing  follow about your tour and trek program ahead. Depending upon your arrival time you may spend free time visiting nearby historic/countryside areas or resting.In the evening sample a delicious traditional Nepali welcome dinner in an authentic Nepali Restaurant with cultural dances. Private vehicle is there for you to pick up from and drop in your Hotel.
 
Day 02-        Half Day World Heritage Sightseeing in Bhaktapur

Half day sightseeing in Bhaktapur World Heritage site where your guide will accompany you to the UNESCO enlisted temples. They boast the superb ancient and Mediaval Newari art and architecture rich for unique fusion of Hinduism and Buddhism.
There is enough time to explore the city’s major places of interest with your guide and at your own pace. Our Trek Leader/Guide meets you in the afternoon for trek briefing and for the final trek preparation.  Overnight in Kathmandu.
 
Day 03 –         Flight to Lukla (2845 m)/Start Trekking to Phakding (2610m)

Early morning you  are picked up by your guide to go to the Kathmandu airport, from where we  take the airplane to Lukla, which  take us about 30 minutes of flight time. At Lukla we  meet our porters and  head north from the airstrip to Cheplung (2700m). Here we cross the Tharo Kosi River on a local-style suspension bridge. Just past the bridge we can see the peak of Kusum Kangru (6367m), which is the most difficult of the so-called “trekking peaks”. Beyond the Tharo Kosi the trail climbs a bit towards Ghat (2590m), we  cross a ridge marked with painted Mani stones and climb to Phakding where we  stay overnight (3 hrs).
 
Day 04-         Phakdingma to Namche(3465m)

Just beyond Monjo the trek enters the Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park, which was established in 1976 to protect a 1148 sq km area surrounding Mt Everest. Beyond the national park entrance station, the trail makes a steep rocky descend and crosses the Dhud Kosi River on a 120m-long suspension bridge towards Jorsale (2830m).We encounter lots of brave porters and Yaks on the way up and down with lots of Loads in their back for the supply.It is ages old system of transportation here because of the difficult difficult topography. After crossing this River  we  be walking right side of the River for nearly and hour before we cross another suspension bridge above the junction of Bhote Kosi and Dudh Kosi River.Then we have nearly three hours gradual and steep uphills viewing Mt Everest,Lhotse and Taboche in the clear day to the Capital of the Everest Region through(3465m) pine, conifers,birch, rhododendron forests. Namche Bazaar is the main trading centre in this region and features numerous shops, hotels and restaurants.Namche Bazar gets weekly big market on Friday and Saturday where all Mountain tribes gather around to supply 30% foodstuffs for the area carried by porters and in animal(Jokpe-hybrid of local cow and the yak back) 4:30 hrs.
 
Day 05-         Acclimatisation Day in Namche

We stay at Namche for a second night to allow us proper acclimatization to the high altitude and to enable full exploration of the town and its surrounds. Namche is a prosperous village, situated in a large, protected hollow. It gained its importance during the period when Tibetan salt was traded for the lowland grains of Nepal. Today quite an amount of trade continues at Namche and Tibetans are sometimes seen in the village trading rugs and Chinese-made goods, clothing, salt and dried meat. It is recommended that you take the opportunity to see both the sunrise and sunset views from the national park headquarters above the village. The panorama can be stunning at both times of the day with a superb view of the Khumbu peaks, including great sightings of Everest. After breakfast Your guides  be on hand to offer advice and to escort you on the walks. The option is the steep climb out of the village bowl to the flatter areas around and above Shyangboche Airstrip(3820 m), Everest View Hotel (3910m)where beautiful  Everest, Amadablam, Lhotse, Tawoche, Peak 38, Thamsherku abound. There are various options, including a walk with a series of great peaks rearing to well over 6,000 meters just to the west. Alternatively you can visit the national park headquarters to see the interesting displays of Sherpa lifestyle and culture. (4:30hrs)

Day 06         Namche to Thame

From Namche the walk to Thame is an easy walk of about five hours. The trail follows an almost steady level until you reach the settlement of Thamo, a cluster of houses on the main trail.Her you have plenty to learn learn about the Sherpa culture which still reflects some stories of Nomad and you have the pass near to see how they came in to Thame all the way from Tibet(5hrs)

Day 07         Thame  to Kyangjum(3650 m)

Return through same path near Namche. The short cut trail to Khumjung climbs through forests to Khumjung. After about one and half hour's climb, you  reach at Shyangboche (3700m), a small settlement with a airstrip. Syangboche airstrip is the highest airstrip in Nepal. Again the trail ascends passing the yak farm a Buddhist stupa. Excellent views of the Everest, Lhotse and Amadablam can be seen from here. Then a short descend  take you to the village of Khumjung, the biggest Sherpa settlement of the region. Then a short descend take you to Kyangjuma.(4 hrs)

Day 08         Kyangjuma to Phortse Village( 3945m)

The trail first climbs steeply out of the valley through rhododendron forests, which give away to fragrant stands of juniper and large conifers. This part of the trek is especially beautiful in spring when the rhododendrons are blooming. We pass a herders’ hut at Tongla (3950m) and then climb gently to Mongla. From here the views of Khumbila and Tawachee are tremendous throughout the day.The  trail now descends down steeply to the Ngozumba River where we stop for the lunch.After the lunch we have further walking before we cross the River and climbs up through the dense forest to glorious Sherpa Phortse village.(6 hrs).
 
Day 09         Phortse  Village  to Dingboche (4345m)

Today we head towards the east of the Phortse village continueing on the rough trail of the ridges viewing the fantastic sceneries of Amadablam, Tyangboche Monastery and get to the Pangboche Monastery.It is the oldest Monastery in this area.Then the trail goes to join the regular path to Everest Base Camp in the new Pangboche where we start walking towards the Sommare Village that takes us to Imjatse Dingboche Village where you find yourself surrounded by the mountains all the time.(6 hrs)
 
Day 10-         Excursion Day to Chhukung Back to Dingboche

Today we hike up to view point  Chhukung ri and Island peak base camp where we  be enjoying the close views of Island Peak, Makalu, Lhotse, Everest and other many more unnamed peaks close to us. It is flat and rough trail at beginig and then gradual uphills to Chhukung in the height of 4900m. This days Island Peak base camp visiting and Climbing Chhukunri gives plenty of time to acclimatisation to head forward next day comfortably. (6 hrs)
 
Day 11         Dingboche to Tengboche

The route from Dingboche desents the Imja valley, then crosses the Khumbu Khola on a wooden bridge and climbs to rejoin the upward trail at some stone huts. Following the trail downhill from here we  arrive at Tengboche (3 hrs).
 
Day 12         Tengboche  to Jorsale

From Tengboche we descend steeply to the suspension bridge at Phunkitenga and after a lunch  break  we cross the Dudh Kosi and ascend to Tashinga. From here the trail contours high above the valley through Shanasa before arriving at Kyangjuma. we slowly head back to Jorsale through the busy Namche Bazar.We descend down to Jorsale bridge through the jungle, rough trail down and River bank of Dudhkosi once more to stop this beautiful River side accomodation  ( 5:30hrs)
 
Day 13         Trek to Lukla

We start our last day walk along the River following the bridges to Monjo  then It’s about three hours  walking to Lukla.We walk along the River Dudh Koshi again and take a final uphills from  Chheplung to Lukla.It’s our last night where you never like to miss final chatting with our Guide and Porters and drinks.
 
Day 14         Fly to Kathmandu

We rise early in the morning to be ready for the arrival of our aircraft for the flight back to Kathmandu. We are met at the airport and transferred to our hotel, located  in  Kathmandu(have choice the Hotel). You do not miss to clean yourself , laundry and rest to feel low altitude. In the Evening have a party night .Our guide can recommend you the best and memorable restaurant to experience party time and place.
 
Day 15         Leisure in Kathmandu

We take an early morning flight to Kathmandu which is stunning as flight to Luklas. Leisure Time in Kathmandu. It’s indeed time for the souvenir hunting around Kathmandu’s noted places having optional trip to tranquil historic Heritages in your own or with us or  with our versatile guide. We provide extra drive and drop services anywhere.
 
Day 16         Departure Kathmandu

Our Tour officer meets you in Hotel for the Departure as you  be transferred to Kathmandu’s International Airport. We always anticipate welcoming you back to Nepal for various other stunning Trekking with our best service in Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, India etc.
