Day 01- Arrival in Kathmandu
Welcome to the beautiful Himalayan country, Nepal. We will receive you upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport and help you with the transfer to the hotel. After the hotel check in, we will meet you for a short orientation about the trekking. After the short preliminary meeting, you can either explore the colorful Thamel or rest in the hotel. In the evening you will be taken to splendid Nepali restaurant where you can enjoy beautiful Nepali cultural dance along with a wonderful traditional Nepali dinner.Overnight Hotel in Kathmandu
Day 02- Half Day Cultural Sightseeing in Kathmandu
After having breakfast at the hotel, you will meet your guide for the half day sightseeing tour to various UNESCO World heritage site in Kathmandu valley. Kathmandu valley boasts a rich culture with unique blend of both Hindu and Buddhist influence. The valley of Kathmandu is covered with numerous ancient temples, shrines and palaces with elegant ancient architecture and intricately carved. The close proximity of the sites and easy transport facilities will give you ample of time to explore these sites at your own place. After the tour, you will meet your trekking guide for briefing to help you with the final preparation of the trek.Overnight Hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 03- Everest Mountain Flight / Visiting Kapan Monastery, Boudhanath and Pashupatinath
Early morning for the Gorgeous mountain views. We take you to domestic airport in the early morning for the fantastic an hour Everest mountain flight. The flight make you enjoy the 300 km Himalayan peaks through your own window seat. After the flight drive to hotel and enjoy the buffet breakfast. We take you sacred Kapan Monastery and Boudhanath stupa then after . Pashupatinath – the holiest of Hindu. Experience the ritual funeral ceremony. Free in the evening. Overnight Hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 04- Full Day Sightseeing in Patan and Bhaktapur World Heritage Sites
After having breakfast at the hotel, you will meet your guide for the full day sightseeing tour to various UNESCO World heritage site in Bhaktapur and Patanv. Bhaktapur city boasts a rich culture with unique blend of both Hindu and Buddhist influence. The valley of Bhaktapur and Patan is covered with numerous ancient temples, shrines and palaces with elegant ancient architecture and intricately carved. The close proximity of the sites and easy transport facilities will give you ample of time to explore these sites at your own place. After the tour, final preparation of the trek.
Day 05- Flight to Pokhara / Drive to Nayapool/ Start Trek to Ulleri
After your breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel to the Domestic airport for 30 minutes of scenic flight to Pokhara. Our Local trekking guide will receive you at the Airport for an hour long drive to Nayapool, from where we will commence our trek. We walk through ethnic Gurung villages and terraced farms while enjoying the views of Machhapuchare in the vista. We will be ready to hit the trail after a short tea break at Birethanti, a large prosperous village besides the river Modi Khola. The trail follows the main street of Birethanti through mixed forests, terraces, thin settlement and paddy fields along up the river Bhurjung Khola (river). Passing through a pasture used by pony caravans the trail reaches green terraced Gurung village called Hille, where we will enjoy our lunch. After the lunch, we climb up the valley passing through Tirkhedhunga to reach Ulleri. We rest our first night of the trek in this spectacular view point ridge to prepare ourselves for next day’s trek to Ghorepani (4:30 hrs).
Day 06- Trek to Ghorepani
After a breakfast in the morning, the trail ascends to Nagethani viewpoint. We follow the historic trade route to Tibet through stone layered Gurung cottages, streams, mixed forests with chirping birds and butterflies. Along our way through refreshingly cool Oak and rhododendron forest, we will be encountering caravans of mules. After few hours of walk from Banthanti, we will be able to enjoy the fantastic views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalayan range. The admirable natural beauty and scenery of the place will boost our energy and help us to climb up the steep steps to Ghorepani. Ghorepani is also one of the most popular viewpoints in Nepal. This place always welcomes with spectacular Mountain vista of Dhaulagiri I (8167m), Tukuche Nilgiri (6940m), Annapurna South, Annapurna I (8091m), Nilgiri (7193m) and Hiunchuli (6441m). We have our lunch enjoying the vista from one of the scenic balcony at Ghorepani. In the winter this place gets lots of snow adding extra fun to the trek. Our day trek to Ghorepani offers plenty of time to rest, relax or troll around to meet local people (4 hrs.)
Day 07- Trek to Tadapani
We start early to Poon hill (3210 meters) to view a spectacular sunrise over the mountains like Annapurna, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri and Machhapuchre in the spectacular dawn. After taking the views of these astonishing sceneries, we return back to Ghorepani to enjoy our breakfast and start our trek to Tadapani. We make our way towards Tadapani through colorful orchids and tranquil rhododendron forests. With several ascends and descends through gorge to Banthanti and mixed rhododendron forest, we finally reach Tadapani. The Fishtail and the Annapurna south is best viewed from here (7:30 hrs).
Day 08- Trek to Ghandruk
From Tadapani we descend for the beautiful Gurung (name of a tribe) village of Ghandruk on the lap of the Annapurnas. The village is known for its traditional houses, rich culture and the great landscape. The trail descends through the rhododendron and mixed forests to the village of Ghandruk. We arrive around noon giving us plenty of time to explore the village of brave and the unique style of thatched roof houses and the village itself. Our guide will show you the museums, local carpet weaving. If you were interested to another top then the Barah temple could be interesting height for next morning tranquil and mountain panorama to view the gorges trail to Annapurna Sanctuary. (3hrs).
Day 09- Trek to Nayapool/ End Trek /Drive to Pokhara
Today, we enjoy the last day of our trek in the magnificent Annapurna region. We walk down the stone paved path in the middle of the terrace farms to Syaulebazar. We can enjoy the beautiful rhododendron flowers and take a last look at this beautiful region. We walk through the rough motor able trail down to Birethanti before concluding our beautiful trek in Nayapool. We drive back to Pokhara in a private van. We will have plenty of time to explore and relax in the beautiful city of Pokhara.Overnight in Pokhara
Day 10- Drive to Kathmandu
After Breakfast, we get ready for an exciting 6 hour long drive back to Kathmandu. We go back to our hotel in Kathmandu to relax our exhausted body after the tiring yet beautiful trek. Overnight Hotel in Kathmandu
Day 11- Kathmandu to Paro Flight by Druk Air
The flight into the Himalayas reveals breath-taking views of the great peaks, taking you right into the DragonKingdom’s cloud scraping airstrip at Paro (altitude 7000 ft.). Your Bhutanese escort will greet you upon arrival and drive you through the beautiful Paro valley to your Hotel, situated on a breezy pine-scented hillside. After refreshment take a stroll around the little town at Paro. Dinner and overnight in the Hotel.
Day 12- Sightseeing Around Paro
Morning drive to Drukgyel Dzong, (18 Kms. Away from the hotel). On the way back visit a typical Bhutanese farmhouse and a sightseeing trip to Paro Bazar. After lunch drive to Ta Dzong which houses the National Museum followed by a short walk to paro Rimpung Dzong. Overnightin Paro.
Day 13- Tour Activities in Paro / Drive to Thimpu
The day begins with a visit to the fuins of Drukgyel Drong (18 Km. From the hotel). This Dzong is of historical importance, from whose ramparts the Bhutanese repelled Tibetan invaders. On a clear day, the 24,000-ft. White dome peak of sacred Chomolhari (Mountain of Goddess) can be seen. After lunch at the hotel visit to Dzong, the NationalMuseum housed in an ancient watchtower, which has a fine collection of ancient Thankas, Paintings, Textiles, Weapons and Artifacts.
In the evening, a 2-hour drive through the Paro and Thimpu valley will take you to the capital of Bhutan (Alt. 7500 ft.). Enroute visit the Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress of its kind which once guarded the Thimpu valley, built by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1627. It is now a religious university. Overnight hotel in Thimpu.
Day 14- Cultural Sightseeing in Thimpu
Today, sightseeing in Thimpu includes – the visit to the National Library, which holds a vast collection of ancient Buddhist manuscripts, the school of Thankas Paintingand the Traditional Medicine Institute, where centuries old healing art are still practiced. Then, visit the Handicrafts Emporium, to see the exquisite artistry of traditional crafts and textiles and take a stroll through the streets for a little shopping. After lunch visit the Memorial Chorten to His late Majesty (King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck). Later take 15 minutes drive to dechenchholing to witness the gold and silver smiths at work.
Then visit the Tashichhodzong (fortress of the Glorious Reign) built in 1641 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal and reconstructed in 1961, using traditional method, without the use of any nails or plans or paper, under the Late King, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, regarded as the Father of Modern Bhutan. Overnight hotel in Thimpu.
Day 15- Punakha Excursion
After breakfast, drive to Punakha, which is approximately 2 hours drive from Thimpu. The religious head Je Khampo Resides, here during the winter, (at that time) Punakha Dzong holds more than five hundred Monks. Visit Punakha Dzong and Wangdiphodrang Dzong. Drive to Paro though dochula pass 10,496 ft. With magnificent view of Bhutanese mountains. Overnight in Punakha.
Day 16- Drive to Paro Via Thimpu/ Evening Cultural Walking
Drive to Paro. Evening visit Paro Bazaar. Overnight in Paro.
Day 17- Free Day in Paro.
Open for Optional Tours. Lunch / dinner & Overnight in Paro.
Day 18- Depart Paro to Kathmandu/ Overnight in Hotel
